Children understand their world through play. What better way to work on a concern with a child than through play? Play therapy can take on a variety of appearances. For some children that could be playing in the sandtray, playing with costumes, or playing a game. Play therapy can help children with depression, anxiety, abuse history or attachment concerns. Play therapy can be used in conjunction with many of the other listed modalities including EMDR and CBT.
